God All in All : The Spirits Too

Image
God All in All : The Spirits Too This reflection pressed heavily on my heart early this morning. It came suddenly, connecting pieces from several older posts I’ve written over the years. I wanted to capture it while the thoughts were still fresh, because they form a picture of God’s final restoration that I had not seen quite this clearly before. Scripture “Then the end will come, when He hands over the kingdom to God the Father after He has destroyed all dominion, authority and power… so that God may be all in all.” — 1 Corinthians 15:24, 28 Reflection Several of my past posts came to mind this morning, forming a picture of what it might mean for God to become all in all . I’ve often wondered whether this points to something far greater than we usually imagine — that even the fallen angels, even Satan himself, will ultimately be brought under God’s final authority in a way that restores peace to all creation. Not excused. Not justified. But fully subjected to Go...

Returning to the Question of God’s Protection

Returning to the Question of God’s Protection Why this question keeps coming back — and what the Kingdom teaches us about it. I have been thinking again about God’s protection. I’ve seen His protection in my life in different ways — through storms, through circumstances, through timing. Maybe not so much in my health, but even in that I trust Him for whatever happens. And I know that I would not have this blog if I were totally healthy. My weakness opened the door for this ministry. But then I think about those who have died in sudden or freak accidents. From what I knew of them, they seemed to be good Christian people. So why did they die when I seem to be protected? Scripture shows the same tension. Some received full protection — Abraham and Sarah, Daniel, Elijah, people in the early church. Yet many of the apostles died terrible deaths. I’ve asked this question before, and here I am again. Why do I re...

Trust in the Midst of Trials: Looking Back, Looking Up

Image
Trust in the Midst of Trials: Looking Back, Looking Up There are seasons when faith feels strong and unshakable, and seasons when questions rise to the surface. As I look back over the years — through pain, surgeries, healing, setbacks, and unexpected blessings — I can see how Father God has shaped my trust in Him. This reflection is part of that journey. December 2017 I’ve often said that I’ve learned to trust the Lord in all things. In my post Salvation , I wrote about the many times the Lord has saved me from harm throughout my life. That trust was built by looking back and realizing that God had His hand on me again and again. But during this time, I also had moments where I questioned even the existence of God. Maybe it was the enemy whispering. Maybe it was the weariness of a long journey. Maybe it was simply being human. Back in August of 2015, I wrote a post called “Funny Dream” (now titled " A Divine Handshake… With Dog Paws ").  In that dream...

The beauty that God has created for us to enjoy.

Life has a way of teaching us quietly when we step away from our routines. Before my surgery, my wife and I took a short trip in our camper van, hoping for a little peace before entering a difficult season. Along the way, God showed me things about beauty, loss, and the hope we find when we come together in Him. During the short trip my wife and I took before my surgery — the one I mentioned in my last post, Becoming One → Is It Possible? — I learned a few things I want to share. God has created a beautiful world for us to enjoy, but man’s greed is destroying so much of it. My wife and I bought a cargo van and have been converting it into a camper. It’s been a long process, and we’re still not finished. When I learned I needed surgery and that the healing would take a long time, we decided to take the van out for a short trip before everything began. With my health issues and my wife caring for her elderly parents, ...

“This Is Eternal Life”: How John 17:3 Opened My Eyes

“This Is Eternal Life”: How John 17:3 Opened My Eyes Sometimes the Lord slows us down in ways we don’t expect. What I thought would be a simple Bible study through the book of John has instead become a journey of re‑examining things I once believed without question. I’m sharing these thoughts not as doctrine, but as the path God has been walking me through. My cousin and I have been getting together for Bible study for quite a while now—usually once a week if we can. Lately we’ve been meeting on Mondays, and since today is Monday, we just finished up a little while ago. We agreed to work through the book of John, but we haven’t made much progress. Before my vision—the one I described in my post “ My Beliefs Have Changed ” —we probably would have been in great harmony in our beliefs and sailed right through John. The slow pace isn’t because of John; it’s because of my sidetracks. I used to fit into the “Once Saved, Always Saved” group, you might say. If you had to pl...

God's way.

Sometimes an older piece of writing still carries a truth that deserves to be revisited. This reflection is one of those moments—a reminder of how God invites us out of striving and into relationship. God’s Way God gave humanity His laws through Moses. In a sense, it was God saying, “If you want to direct your own lives without Me, then here are the laws you must follow. But remember — disobedience has consequences. If you break these laws and ignore the sin that follows, you will not have peace.” And this is exactly what we see in ourselves. Something within us — our sin nature — makes it impossible to keep God’s laws perfectly. Because of this, we live without peace. But God, in His wisdom and compassion, did something astonishing. He sent His only Son, Jesus — Yeshua — to earth, becoming human like us. He obeyed every law Father God gave, the very laws we cannot keep. He became the spotless Passover Lamb, taking our punishment upon Himself. He died ...
