Keep The Faith

From  Homework Help website "The quote “"Those who forget history are condemned to repeat it”" is attributed to the American philosopher George Santayana and it can be accurately quoted as "“Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it”" as stated in his work, The Life of Reason : Reason in Common Sense." Why did I bring up this quote you ask? It is because I believe that we have forgotten the horrors that happened in World War II and how that cancer grew. Are we repeating history? I believe we are. The cancer is hiding and growing. Our American forefathers came from countries that at some period of time had tyrants in control of their countries. When they came to this new land, they wanted to protect future generations from tyranny so they formulated our constitution. We were to have three branches of government; Legislative (Congress), Executive (President), and Judicial (Federal court system). These three branches were to stay sep...

I have heard from a number of Christians that god chose Trump. They support and defend Trump no mater what his character proves to be because "god chose him." I've wondered a lot about this. How do they know God, the creator of all things, the God of gods, the God of love, chose him? Did maybe the god of this world ( Satan) choose him instead? Have Christians forgotten their first love? Jesus said that if you love Him then obey His commandments, love God (the One True God who exercises loving kindness, justice, and righteousness on earth, not the god of this world) and love your neighbor; do to him what you wished he would do to you. Joel 2:13 Lexham English Bible (LEB) 13       Rend your hearts [ a ] and not your garments, and return to Yahweh your God,      because he is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger [ b ] and great in loyal love,      and relenting from harm. ------------------------------...

I am troubled by many things that are happening here in the United States. Mostly because of the Russian meddling in our elections and in our very lives. We call it RUSSIAN but it stems back to Putin and Russian oligarchs. It is ongoing, believed that they will also work to affect our 2018 congressional elections. They are not only working to affect our elections but the elections' in many other countries of the world. I have to ask," What are they trying to do?" If I had to guess, it is to dominate the world. Many of us believe that the meddling was for the purpose to get Trump elected. Trump has been asked if he has ever communicated with Putin before the elections and he repeatedly says he has not. I came across various interviews with Trump in 2013, the year he had the Miss Universe Pageant in Moscow Russia and he said then that he had talked with Putin both "directly and indirectly" in the interviews. Trump has at least twice met up with and talked with ...

Genesis 8:21 New International Version (NIV) 21 The Lord smelled the pleasing aroma and said in his heart : “Never again will I curse the ground because of humans, even though every inclination of the human heart is evil from childhood. And never again will I destroy all living creatures, as I have done.” Deuteronomy 4:29 New American Standard Bible (NASB) 29 But from there you will seek the Lord your God, and you will find Him if you search for Him with all your heart and all your soul. Deuteronomy 4:39 New American Standard Bible (NASB) 39 Know therefore today, and take it to your heart , that the Lord, He is God in heaven above and on the earth below; there is no other. Deuteronomy 6:5 New American Standard Bible (NASB) 5 You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. These scriptures are just a tiny fraction of Bible references to the heart, its condition, and importance. I used to think that this u...

We all have a belief system. What I mean by this is that we all believe or trust a great many things to be true. You may have a certain faith you believe is the true religion; you go along with most if not all the doctrines which make up that religion. Even if you are agnostic, that is part of your belief system. There are many areas which make up our belief system; health, monetary, security, religion, probably others which I can't think of right now. In each of these areas, you believe that if you can only reach or maintain a place in each one, that your life will be as good as it can get. You may not have reached that perfect place yet but you still believe that if you ever get there, you will be happy; things will be good. I think that the hell talked about in the Bible is related to our belief system. If you and I were to compare our belief system with each other, we would most likely find areas where we don't agree. Aren't our actions, our decisions, governed to...

What did Jesus mean by “the sign of Jonah”? A deep study of Jonah, repentance, divine compassion, and God’s intention for all humanity. Explore prophetic themes, mercy, and the heart of God revealed in both Jonah and Jesus. The Sign of Jonah: What Jesus Meant and Why It Matters When Jesus walked the earth, the religious leaders demanded a sign from Him—something dramatic that would prove His authority. Their request wasn’t born of faith but of testing. Jesus answered them with a mysterious phrase: “No sign will be given except the sign of Jonah.” He repeated this message to the crowds as well. Here are the gospel references: Gospel References to the Sign of Jonah Matthew 12:39 “An evil and adulterous generation craves for a sign; and yet no sign will be given to it but the sign of Jonah the prophet.” Matthew 16:4 “An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign; and a sign will not be given it, except the sign of Jonah.” Then He left them and went away. Luke 11:29...
