Formed Into One: How God Shapes the Human Spirit Through Life and History

Image
🌅 Unity Series — “Formed Into One: How God Shapes the Human Spirit Through Life and History” Opening Reflection — When the Spirit Begins to Ask New Questions Lately I’ve been having thoughts about how God forms the human spirit. Not in a doctrinal way, but in a wondering way — the kind of wondering that makes you pause and look at Scripture again with fresh eyes. I’ve found myself asking: Does God place the human spirit into new circumstances — even new bodies — until we finally become one with Christ? I’m not claiming reincarnation. I’m not building a doctrine. I’m simply noticing that Scripture speaks of rebirth, subjection, unity, and God becoming All in All — and I’m trying to understand how all of that fits together. When Jesus told Nicodemus: “Unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.” — John 3:3 (NASB) He wasn’t talking about reincarnation. He was talking about a spiritual rebirth — a transformation of the human spirit that allo...

Seeing the Real Enemy

Image
Sometimes the Lord gives us clarity in the simplest moments — even while mowing the grass. What was once familiar suddenly becomes illuminated, and we see the truth more clearly than before. This reflection is one of those moments: a reminder that our battle is not against people, but against the unseen forces that influence them. A Moment of Clarity I was out mowing my grass this evening, thinking about some of the things I recently posted to the blog. You’ve probably experienced this too — a moment when it feels like a light switches on, and suddenly something becomes clearer than it ever was before. Let me begin with a question: with all the evil happening in the world today, do you look at the individuals committing these acts as evil people ? I think I have done this at times. But I now believe we are looking at it the wrong way. It is not the person himself who is evil — it is the evil working within him , influencing, deceiving, and driving him...

The Fire That Heals

Image
The Fire That Heals When truth reaches the heart, God brings healing — not condemnation. We all see the faults in others. We all hold onto things we should release. And we all fall short of the commandments God has given us. None of us are innocent in these things — not me, not you, not anyone. But there is a path back to peace, and it begins with seeing the truth about our own hearts. When the truth finally reaches us, we feel shame — not because God shames us, but because we suddenly see what our sin has cost. This is what Scripture means by “weeping and gnashing of teeth.” It is not God tormenting us; it is the heart breaking under the weight of truth. Shame is simply the pain of realizing the separation we created, the peace we broke, and the love we resisted. And even then, God’s desire is not to leave us in that pain. Revelation says the leaves of the Tree of Life are for the healing of the nations. God reveals truth so He can heal us, not destroy us. Jesus didn’...

The Book of the Wars of the Lord

Image
Something very strange happened this morning that I can only say was directed by the Lord. I was searching in the small concordance in the back of my New American Standard Bible for a scripture that says our war is not with flesh and blood but with something more. I could not find what I was looking for, but my eyes fell upon these words: “WARS OF THE LORD, BOOK OF.” This directed me to Numbers 21:14 . I began searching more about what this book could be and found that this place in the Old Testament is the only reference to the existence of a book called “The Book of the Wars of the Lord.” This book has been lost; archaeology has not yet uncovered it. Led to a Lost Book As I looked around on the internet about this book, I read a comment on one of the websites. The commenter said that the book was on Amazon. I thought, “How can a book that has been lost for centuries now show up on Amazon?” I was skeptical, but I fired up my Kindle and searched for the b...

Satan and his work

Have you ever thought that there may be times in your life that you might be doing the will of Satan? Most of us rarely if ever think of that possibility, in fact we probably don't think much about Satan at all. As I've already said, he is real and he is a powerful being.  Why am I talking about Satan, you might ask? Look at what is going on in the world today, such evil things. I believe this is his doing. He is getting desperate and doing all he can to keep us from believing in the One True Living God and in the One He sent, Jeshua Jesus. Do you fear what is going on? Do you think there is no hope, that there is no god? Think about it; it is what he wants. Here are the titles given in the Bible to him: Abaddon ----- Rev 9:11 accuser ------ Ps. 109:6 ; Rev 12:10 Revelation 12:10 New American Standard Bible (NASB) 10  Then I heard  a loud voice in heaven, saying, “Now the  salvation, and the power, and the  kingdom of our God and the authority...

Repent

On the news again, more killings. This time police officers in Dallas Texas killed by a sniper in a parking garage. When will this madness stop? Our killing machines are getting wickeder and wickeder. People think they need them to protect themselves and their families but what they don't realize is that the more of these things they buy, the more likely they will fall into the wrong hands. I have this to ask of those who own guns. Who will save us from ourselves? Don't we all get mad about something at certain times of our lives? All the gun makers are sure profiting from all of this; all for the almighty dollar. The killing machines in our wars are only getting more and more vicious too. They kill and maim more people quicker. I have just this one thing to say about all of this. If we who disobey God's laws, don't search our hearts, feel ashamed for disobedience, and repent, then The Lord Jesus is coming and He will do it for us at Judgement. Look at the picture...

Stepping Out of the Boat

Image
Unity Series — Stepping Out of the Boat A reflection on faith, fear, and Father God’s unifying work in our lives. There are moments in Scripture that don’t just teach us—they meet us. They step into our present life and reveal where we stand, where we fear, and where Father God is calling us next. This reflection brings together Peter’s trembling steps on the water and Elijah’s unwavering stand on Mount Carmel, showing how unity with God strengthens faith in every season. Walking on the Water — Matthew 14:22–33 Peter’s moment of courage, fear, and rescue. There is a moment in Peter’s life that feels uncomfortably familiar to anyone who has ever tried to follow Jesus with trembling hands. Peter steps out of the boat—full of courage, full of faith—and for a few miraculous seconds, he actually walks on the water. But then the wind rises, fear rises with it, and he begins to sink. I’ve been thinking about that moment, not as a distant story, but as a mirror. T...

Encouragement for those who are doing the work of Father God

Image
Encouragement for Those Who Are Doing the Work of Father God I want to offer encouragement to those of you who are faithfully doing the work of Father God. I have been working on this blog for five years now. This blog belongs to the Lord. And during this time, I have experienced Satan’s power again and again. From what I have seen, humans could very well call him a “god” — he is that powerful. He knows what I am thinking, and he reacts when he does not like what I am doing. Here is the most recent example of what I believe was his work. June 2016 — The Ant Bites, the Wasp Sting, and the Infection On Wednesday morning, 6/29/16, I posted “ To all the bond-servants of the Lord .” The day before, 6/28/16, I was working in the yard and picked up some corn stalks I had laid down earlier. My right hand was attacked by fire ants — I probably got half a dozen bites. They formed the usual red welts with white centers. On Thursday, my wife and I went to our river prop...

The New Covenant of the Heart

Image
The New Covenant of the Heart A reflection on God’s promise to transform our hearts, unite us with Him, and empower us to walk in His ways. Many Christians believe the New Covenant replaces the old one, as if God discarded everything He had spoken before. But that is not so. Every covenant God made builds upon the ones before it. Each one reveals more of His heart, His purpose, and His desire to bring us into unity with Himself. The New Covenant is not a replacement. It is the fulfillment —the moment when God does inside of us what we could never do on our own. In the New Covenant, God does something remarkable: He forgives our sins. He breaks the power of our sin nature through Yeshua Jesus. He gives us the Holy Spirit—Living Water—to help us walk in obedience. He writes His instructions on our hearts. He teaches us Truth from within. This is not a covenant of stone tablets. This is a covenant of the heart. Foretold by t...
