Giving Glory and Honor to Father God and His Son, Jesus

How are we Americans, along with this Trump regime giving glory and honor to Father God and his only begotten son, Yashua/Jesus? Yashua went through so much so that we could be forgiven. Forgiveness is not an automatic thing. We have to want to be forgiven. We have to want to change from our sinful lives and ask for forgiveness. Jesus provides the way.

The things that are happening now with Trump as president seems to me to be repeating what Germany did in 1933. We can try to give resistance to the changes that are happening in this government, but I feel we will be no more successful than what those who resisted Hitler and the Nazis were.

Consider this: Think about what Jesus did when he was here on earth. He loved all people, no matter who they were or where they came from. He showed great compassion for all who were in need. I think the only way of surviving what is to come is to follow Yeshua/Jesus' example. Communities coming together, helping each other.

Stressful Times

Our US elections are coming up next Tuesday November 5, 2024. It is possible that Donald J. Trump could be elected as our president and personally, I do not feel that will be a good thing.

Trump and his allies appear to be following a strategy reminiscent of tactics used by Hitler and the Nazis. The initial goal is to secure enough popular support to win the presidency, while simultaneously working to undermine or eliminate opposition. If elected, their "Project 2025" blueprint could be enacted, potentially leading to the removal of those seen as threats or undesirable by those in power. This vision could include establishing a national religion, controlling media, and imposing increasing restrictions on freedoms.

If you support him and his allies, you may be unwittingly aiding this agenda. Right now, you may be useful in this pursuit of power but remember; those who outlive their usefulness may find themselves discarded or worse.

Have you noticed how more and more countries are falling under authoritarian rule, and how these leaders are starting to join forces? It’s unsettling to think about leaders like Putin and Kim Jong-un strengthening their alliance, with reports suggesting that North Korea might even be sending troops to support Russia in Ukraine. So many people caught in this struggle become pawns in a dangerous quest for power. If Trump were to become president again, many fear he will take an authoritarian approach here in the U.S., and the thought of him aligning with leaders like Putin is deeply troubling. It could put democratic values at risk in ways that would impact all of us, reshaping our world in ways we may not yet fully understand.

I wrote a post back in 2013 that I think may be very helpful to read and think about.

Putin's war on Ukraine.

 03/02/2022

This morning my mind went to this war of Putin’s controlled Russia invading the relatively small country of Ukraine. I can only imagine that it must be really scary for the Ukrainians right now. They are going against the powerful nation of Russia with all of its powerful weapons.

Then my mind went back in time; a time that is recorded in the Bible when God took the Israelites out from their slavery in Egypt through a series of miracles (Exodus chapters 11 thru 14). Then God led them to the edge of a sea with nowhere for them to go, and the mighty Egyptian army was fast approaching, either to kill them or take them back into slavery. With more miracles, God held back the Egyptians, made the water to separate, and dried up the bottom so that the Israelites could pass to the other side. When the Egyptians pursued the Israelites into the parted waters, God caused the bottom, just where they were, to become gummy so that it held them back until all the Israelites were safely across. Then God closed the waters and destroyed the Egyptians.

The Israelites were greatly afraid through all of this. They were not only afraid of the pursuing Egyptian army, but seeing these miracles confounded them. They had never experienced such things. I can imagine that my heart would have been pounding if I had been there.

We are beginning to hear about what seems to be miracles in Ukraine. Ukrainian solders have said that they seem to be guided by an invisible force as to what to do next. They become invisible, per say to the Russians. It is alleged that Putin has made a hit list of certain people, President Zelenskyy being one of them. Yet, he lives.

The following is cut from a post on Facebook. This was part of an email from a missionary there in Ukraine.

03/08/2022

I watch the news often about the war in Ukraine. It is not looking good for the Ukrainians but nor is Russia progressing as expected. I think I’ve heard that there are now approx. 2 million people who have fled the country. There are many casualties on both sides. No one but God knows how all this will end.

03/10/2022

I have debated with myself if I want or should post this. As much as I would like to see miracles comparable to the Biblical story of the Exodus (Exodus chapters 11 thru 14). It is hard to believe something like that could happen in this time period. I don’t know why it is hard for me to believe, after all God is alive and still as powerful as He was then.

Anyway, I have decided to post this. I may be having a jaw-dropping moment in the future. We’ll see.

Is It Right To Abuse Our Planet Earth?

Is it right to abuse our Planet Earth? Is it good to abuse it?

One of my Facebook friends recently took a missionary trip to Honduras. He described what he saw as they went across a bridge that spanned one of the rivers. As he looked down at the river, it was filled with trash, lots of it. There was so much trash that he could barely see the water. I have read of other countries around the world with the same thing happening; trash everywhere. It is polluting their water sources. This happens all the time in areas of poverty.

I know that there are monstrous amounts of garbage congregating in areas of the Pacific and the Atlantic oceans. Look up The Great Pacific garbage patch. It is estimated to be twice the size of Texas and growing rapidly. The same thing is in the Atlantic ocean.

Think about all the things we do that pollute. Strip mining, drilling, manufacturing, poisons to get rid of perceived pests, oil and gas processing, plastics, transportation, even farming and raising domestic animals can pollute. There are so many things when you really think about it.

I’ve been following the scientific discoveries of the planet Mars exploration rovers. From the discoveries they've made, there is evidence that Mars once had oceans, lakes, and rivers. There are areas of the planet that still have frozen water, but most of the surface water is gone. Could Mars have once supported life? Maybe even humans once lived on the planet. Maybe they abused their planet to the point that it became what we see today.

Have you ever thought about what keeps the water on Earth from escaping into outer space? I have read that there is an atmospheric layer that surrounds Earth that does that. It keeps the water from escaping into the vacuum of outer space. I have also read some about that layer being depleted. I don’t know how fast or how much that is happening but it is something to think about. I think that it would be good to find out more about it and if there is something we can do to reverse the process. Could Earth become like Mars? I kind of think that it could if we humans don’t come together, quit doing the things that abuse the planet, and find ways to reverse the destructive process.

All of the developed countries of the world spend massive amounts of money to develop weapons that destroy, each country trying to outdo the others. What a waste. We are so afraid of each other that we think that our weapons will save us when things are happening to our planet that will destroy us if we ignore what is happening.

We keep asking God to fix things. Why would God want to continue helping us when we keep doing the things that work against us?

The following are some things we can do to help reverse our destructive ways:

Our World ---> Going towards peace or war? (2/22/19 -- added stuff)

There is scripture in the Old Testament of the Bible (same as the Jewish Bible called the Tanakh) that I think about sometimes.

Isaiah 11:6-9 Lexham English Bible (LEB)

And a wolf shall stay[a] with a lamb,
and a leopard shall lie down with a kid,
and a calf and a lion and a fatling together
as a small boy leads[b] them.

And a cow and a bear shall graze;
their young shall lie down together.
And a lion shall eat straw like the cattle.

And an infant[c] shall play over a serpent’s hole,
and a toddler[d] shall put his hand on a viper’s hole.

They will not injure and they will not destroy on all of my holy mountain,[e]
for the earth will be full of the knowledge of Yahweh,
as the waters cover the sea.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What a picture of perfect peace. This kind of peace has not happened yet. I wonder how close we are to this. The way our world seems to be heading right now is towards war, not peace.

Whatever it is going on between Putin and Trump concerns me. If I didn't believe in an All Powerful God who has a plan of saving us, I would be more than concerned. I have no problem with our United States of America becoming friends with any country as long as the leaders of those countries are looking after the welfare of all people of the world, both poor and wealthy, great and small. I just don't see this in any one of our two leaders.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Had I read these scriptures a little further, I would have seen when this peace will happen.

Isaiah 11:10 New International Version (NIV)

10 In that day the Root of Jesse will stand as a banner for the peoples; the nations will rally to him, and his resting place will be glorious.

2/22/19
I was thinking about this post, mainly about the picture of perfect peace as described in Isaiah 11:6-9, about when this would happen as described in Isaiah 11:10, and about my most resent post "God Hates The Deeds and The Doctrines of the Nicolaitans -- Revelation 2:6 and 15"; mostly about Jeremiah 31:34.
It hit me how these seem to be interrelated. Jeremiah 31:34 essentially says that man will no longer teach man about Yahweh (God) because God will place that knowledge into everyone. Isaiah 11:10 essentially says that Yeshua (Jesus) will become evident to everyone and that evidence will lead to the perfect peace; 'the nations will rally to him, and his resting place will be glorious.'

Our elections are over.

😕😲😧

It is hard to put into words my feelings and thoughts right now; about the future of America and the world. I did not vote for Trump. I do not hate him but I don't know that I could say that I love him either. I will definitely pray for him, for me, and for our nation.

That word,"hate", I have heard it so many times lately. I have heard it come from the mouths of Christians. The very word Christian means you believe in Christ Jesus and profess His teachings which is love not hate; love God, love neighbor, and even love our enemy (I would like to tell you, hopefully in the next post, about a book I last read which tells how enemies during WWII became friends through the gospel of Christ).

I had a feeling that Trump would be nominated as our next president. I even made a comment on Facebook to a friend a while back that I thought that he probably would be elected. But, when all was done and he was elected, I was stunned, shocked. How did this happen? I do believe this is the work of Satan but the will of our Father God.

It seems to me that many Christians have become like the scribes and Pharisees during Jesus' time, believing they are righteous.

Romans 3:20-23New International Version (NIV)

20 Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God’s sight by the works of the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin.

Righteousness Through Faith

21 But now apart from the law the righteousness of God has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. 22 This righteousnessis given through faith in[a] Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

Matthew 15:8Common English Bible (CEB)

This people honors me with their lips, but their hearts are far away from me.

I wonder how America will be made great again, as Trump says he will do. Will it be like Germany during the reign of Hitler and the Nazis? Germany became a very powerful nation but it was done by deceit, bullying, threatening, and eliminating the dissenters and the unwanted.

I just watched 60 Minutes on TV, an interview with president elect Trump and his family. I have to say that after watching it, I am still uneasy about our future.

A large number of Christians believe that Trump is anointed by God to be like Cyrus in the Bible because of prophecy through someone believed to be a prophet of today, someone who is respected. I just don't know. I feel otherwise. If they are right, great. Even if my thoughts are correct and we are headed to be great like Germany, Christ Jesus' way of love and prayer will win out over evil and it will calm our fears.

If you haven't already done this, opening your heart to Yeshua Jesus, letting Him in, and receiving the Holy Spirit (the Living Water), I invite you to do so. All who do this become part of Christ. He is our head and we are members of His body. He will direct our actions. Love will rule over hate. Think about the fruits of the spirit.

Galatians 5:22-23King James Version (KJV)

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Matthew 5:43-48Common English Bible (CEB)

Law of love

43 “You have heard that it was said, You must love your neighbor[a] and hate your enemy. 44 But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who harass you 45 so that you will be acting as children of your Father who is in heaven. He makes the sun rise on both the evil and the good and sends rain on both the righteous and the unrighteous.46 If you love only those who love you, what reward do you have? Don’t even the tax collectors do the same? 47 And if you greet only your brothers and sisters, what more are you doing? Don’t even the Gentiles do the same? 48 Therefore, just as your heavenly Father is complete in showing love to everyone, so also you must be complete.

Let us pray for each other. I believe we are headed into difficult times, more so than what we already have.

Fear and Unbelief

We hear a lot about Isis in the news today. I always hear President Obama calling them by another name, Isil. I wasn't sure about the name the president used so I just looked it up and found out that the radical group is known by many names; Isis, Isil, IS, Daesh.

What I want to talk about is what this radical group is doing as it relates to God; the true God. They say that they have the true god on their side and they are going to be successful in defeating the United States, Britain, Australia, and probably others. Have you thought about what they are trying to do? They are trying to make us afraid. Do you think the One True God would use scare tactics to get us to believe in Him? What does fear do in us? It keeps us from believing and instead we think there is no hope. Who do you think would want to keep us in a hopeless state? It's Satan.

I want to use a story in the Old Testament, very familiar to a lot of people. The Israelites were living in Egypt for about 400 years under great duress from the Egyptians. This was around 1550 – 1500 BCE. They had no hope but to be slaves to the Egyptians. God decided to bring them out of that bondage. He performed a number of miraculous things in the form of plagues on the Egyptians through His spokes person, Moses. In all these plagues the Israelites were not harmed, only the Egyptians. Egypt had many gods but they found that the God of these Hebrew people was more powerful than theirs. This story has great meaning to the Hebrews.

There is great meaning for all of us in this story. We are all born with a nature to sin. Just like those Israelites were slaves to the Egyptians, we are slaves to sin. The good news to give us hope is that God, through His son Jesus has delivered us out of that bondage. One of the words given to or referring to Jesus is redeemer.

redeem

 (rəˈdiːm) verb
1. to buy back (something that has been pawned). I'm going to redeem my gold watch.desempeñarrescatar
2. to set (a person) free by paying a ransom; (of Jesus Christ) to free (a person) from sin. rescatarredimir
3. to compensate for or cancel out the faults of. His willingness to work redeemed him in her eyes.redimirexpiar

There are a great many evil things going on in the world today. I hate listening to the news. Most everything is bad news. It is draining my soul. I have found myself at times asking myself, is there really a god? Fear and unbelief are said to be sins. I am a Christian. Jesus has broken my bondage to sin. Why do I keep getting drawn back into my old sin nature? It is because of Satan's work to try and instill fear. That is the best way he has found to keep us from believing.

Going back to this radical group Isis. I believe that their god is Satan. The true God is all powerful. Satan can not defeat God so why should I fear? This next part you may think kind of crazy but if you can catch my rationel you may see this too. Say God is on Isis' side. Can you fight God and expect to win? God will do what He wants to do no matter which side He is on. For some this may seem a form of hoplessness but it should make you see that you and I are at the mercy of God and rest in that decision. The Bible teaches that God's lovingkindness never fails. What does this say about THE TRUE GOD?

Psalm 86:15 New American Standard Bible (NASB)

15 But You, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious,
Slow to anger and abundant in lovingkindness and truth.

Psalm 89:1 Common English Bible (CEB)

A maskil of Ethan the Ezrahite.

89 I will sing of the Lord’s loyal love forever.
I will proclaim your faithfulness
with my own mouth
from one generation to the next.

Proverbs 16:6 New American Standard Bible (NASB)

By lovingkindness and truth iniquity is atoned for,
And by the [
a]fear of the Lord one keeps away from evil.

Isaiah 54:8 New American Standard Bible (NASB)

8 “In an outburst of anger
I hid My face from you for a moment,
But with everlasting lovingkindness I will have compassion on you,”
Says the Lord your Redeemer.
