God Is Still God.

We are living through some very stressful times right now with this pandemic. As I was thinking about this, I thought about God. God is still the all-powerful God. He doesn't change. He is God who we can call Father and someone who loves us, so much so that He sent His Son, Jesus, into this world to take our punishment for the sins we've committed. Think about that. What amazing love.

Think about what Jesus did when He was here on earth with us. He had compassion for all those He met.

Matthew 9:35-38 New American Bible (Revised Edition) (NABRE)

The Compassion of Jesus. 35 [a]Jesus went around to all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom, and curing every disease and illness. 36 At the sight of the crowds, his heart was moved with pity for them because they were troubled and abandoned,[b] like sheep without a shepherd. 37 [c]Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few; 38 so ask the master of the harvest to send out laborers for his harvest.”

For me right now, I pray that His will be done, that the laborers will go out, and I trust Him for whatever happens. I also pray for Him to open my eyes to my sin.

God will not keep helping us forever. If we wont change from our evil ways, some day He will act out against us. Maybe this pandemic is a sample?

Proverbs 6:16-19 New American Bible (Revised Edition) (NABRE)

What the Lord Rejects

16 There are six things the Lord hates,
    yes, seven[a] are an abomination to him;
17 [b]Haughty eyes, a lying tongue,
    hands that shed innocent blood,
18 A heart that plots wicked schemes,
    feet that are quick to run to evil,
19 The false witness who utters lies,
    and the one who sows discord among kindred.
