The Reality Of Things.

Here is something that not many of us think about. In wars and conflicts, who is it that stands to gain the most from them? It is those at the top, the ones who are in power, those who give the commands. Today, it is also the many companies who build all that is used in wars who stand to gain much wealth. Who is it that does the dirty work; the fighting, the killing, and the dying? They are the ones at the bottom. It has always been this way. We fight each other to keep ourselves in bondage and those at the top powerful and wealthy.

Long ago, the nations had their slaves. Slaves had many tasks and when nations warred with each other, they would always send in slaves first. The slaves would do some damage fighting, using the meager weapons they were given. When the slaves were used up then the better fighters were sent in. Unless things go very bad for a nation, you will rarely see someone at the top help fight against the opposite side.

You can look at any war. Take our American Civil war. This war was over the right to own slaves, essentially. Those who owned many slaves did not fight in that war. It was those who owned no slaves at all or maybe just owned one or two who fought and died. What was strange to me was that those who did fight on the South for the right to own slaves became so caught up in it and angry over not having the right to own slaves, yet they would probably never be in a position to own any.

My wife and I went to see the movie "
The Free State of Jones" a while back. This movie is based on the history of Jones County, Mississippi during the Civil War. In the movie, there were a number of black slaves who had run away and found themselves a secret hiding place deep in the swamps. At first, only black slaves knew about it with the help of an abolitionist, Aunt Sally . As more and more whites fighting in the Confederate army understood what was really going on and how their own families were being treated at home while they were away, they deserted. One by one a number of them ended up with the black slaves in this secret hiding place. The food that came into the camp was not much. At first, only a couple of the Whites were willing to share that food with the Blacks even though it was through the work of black slaves that food came in at all. As more Whites showed up, tensions rose. You could see the hatred from the Whites against the Blacks start to come out and how the Whites felt they were better than the black slaves. It was great however to see that hatred and the feeling of superiority fade away. They finally understood that they needed each other and that in reality, they were both slaves.

Last night, we watched the movie “Jimmy's Hall” (IMDB: Jimmy's Hall) (Wikipedia: Jimmy's Hall). This movie is based on real life events of Jimmy Gralton, an Irishman born in Effernagh, Ireland on April 17, 1886 to a poor farmer. (Irish Post: “The true story behind Ken Loach's movie Jimmy's Hall”)

This Irishman decides to build a hall, with the help of other locals, on his father's property. His dream was to have a safe place for the common people, like himself, to gather together, to talk, to listen, to learn, to dance, to have meals together; a place to have some enjoyment in their life's struggles. They had their own teachers to teach all kinds of things from the usual reading, writing, and arithmetic to art, poetry, dance, plays, and sports, such as boxing. They did it all themselves without the help of the government or others. This was during the time of the depression when there was little or no education for the commoners.

However, certain prominent members of the Catholic church saw them as threatening and wanted to put an end to the hall and Jimmy. Shots were fired at a group of men, women, and children who were in the hall one evening and the hall was eventually burned to the ground, and they tried to deport Jimmy (I'm not sure if they succeeded).

I am reading a book right now “GEORGE MULLER The Guardian of Bristol's Orphans” by Janet & Geoff Benge.

George Muller (1805-1898) felt a calling from God to take care of orphans. George starts his early life as a common thief in Prussia. He haphazardly meets up with Beta, someone he sees as a “religious do-good-er”. George goes to a Bible meeting with Beta which changes his life. These types of Bible meetings were against the law at this time in Prussia and people were known to get arrested at them. The law stated that only a registered Lutheran pastor present could give a sermon. “This was supposed to ensure that only university-trained pastors got to preach, which kept the Bible from being distorted and uneducated peasants from getting strange ideas.” At least, this was what George heard so many times was the reason for keeping the Bible away from the peasants, the commoners.

George was well educated, paid for by his father. When George decided to change schools and become a missionary, the purse-strings of his father were severed. George even told his father that he did not want his money and his father disowned him. His dependence shifted from his earthly father to his heavenly Father.

Without telling you the whole story about George, let me just tell you about the one thing that impressed me most about George Muller. In all his work with orphans and setting up orphanages, he relied on God to provide all their needs. When George announced to the public about the first orphanage in Bristol that he was about to start, he said, “God has told me to start an orphanage. There would be no collections, no asking for money, and no payment required from the children who were taken in.” “Instead, George would rely on God to supply all the needs of the orphans.”

You may think, well it was people who supplied their needs, not God. God works in the hearts of others to give where there is a need. That giving becomes a blessing for the giver as well as for the receiver; there is great joy for both.

You may be wandering why I am bringing all this up. It's because this has been on my mind a lot lately. There are an awful lot of poor people in the world today. I don't see how there can ever be enough good paying jobs for everyone. The only things we ever seem to do about the poor is forget about them, give them things that only help temporarily, or make slaves of them and put more burdens on them.

Why not do something different for a change and learn from these three true stories and probably many other stories, if we will just look for them. Unless something changes from those in control then why not help each other as they tried to do in Jimmy's Hall? Have you ever thought about what it would be like if there was no such thing as money? Those who got together in Jimmy's Hall didn't think about money. They came together to learn from each-other, to talk, to listen, to share meals, to find some joy and meaning in this life.

What we can learn from George Muller is there is nothing too difficult when God is involved. Trust that He will supply all our needs. If whatever you are doing is of God's will then you will learn that He will come through to help; you will learn that you can rely on Him.

Here are some of my most troubling thoughts:

When Hitler and the Nazis came to power in Germany their answer was to create forced labor camps where all the able bodied undesirables went. These were not only the Jews. It included the poor, the homeless (gypsies), the homosexuals, the Blacks, and many others who were deemed not of the purest Aryan race. Many in those forced labor camps died of starvation and many more were eventually moved to the death camps.

We have a new president elect, Donald J. Trump. So far, I am seeing Trump take the same path that Hitler took. Hitler and the Nazis first got rid of those who apposed them. In Hitler's time, there were two other political parties of significant strength, the Social Democratic Party and the Communist Party. Their voice in the decision making process was eliminated because a fire that burned down the parliament building was blamed on one and the condition of Germany was blamed on the other.

Look at how our Democratic Party is viewed right now, and the unrest within the Republican Party, our only two political parties. Hitler got the military commanders on his side. Look how many Trump is getting on his team even in positions were it has always been filled by a civilian. There is something about Trump and Putin that bothers me. If Trump and Putin were ever able to bring our two countries together, United States and Russia, we would become the most powerful force in the world. This is all just my feelings and speculation on my part.

If president Donald Trump ever reads this, I ask you, don't do what Hitler did. You have a clean slate right now and you can, with God's help, do something no other has been able to do before. Allow the poor to get out of slavery and protect that process.

I am not saying these things to try and get people mad at those at the top who are in control. Where there is money and power involved I believe that Satan clouds people's minds so all they can see is the power and wealth they will receive. They don't see all the death, the misery, the evil that happens as a result of their control. It not only happens to the greatest among us but it happens all the way down to the least among us. Whenever there is hardships among people, there is someone who will take an unfair advantage of the situation.

If only those who receive orders leading to something that they know is evil could choose to be like Jesus and disobey and forgive. I say forgive because that person may very well die for disobeying and those who kill are either obeying orders or as Jesus said as He was being crucified, “they know not what they do.” The thing is that blood won't be on that persons' hands and the dirty work moves up the chain.

Look at how Satan tempted our Lord Jesus when He began that which He was sent to do.
Matthew 4:1-11 New American Standard Bible (NASB)

The Temptation of Jesus

4 Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. 2 And after He had fasted forty days and forty nights, He [a]then became hungry. 3 And the tempter came and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.” 4 But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.’”
5 Then the devil *took Him into the holy city and had Him stand on the pinnacle of the temple, 6 and *said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down; for it is written,
‘He will command His angels concerning You’;
and
‘On their hands they will bear You up,
So that You will not strike Your foot against a stone.’”
7 Jesus said to him, “[b]On the other hand, it is written, ‘You shall not put the Lord your God to the test.’”
8 Again, the devil *took Him to a very high mountain and *showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory; 9 and he said to Him, “All these things I will give You, if You fall down and [c]worship me.” 10 Then Jesus *said to him, “Go, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and [d]serve Him only.’” 11 Then the devil *left Him; and behold, angels came and began to minister to Him.

Satan has always wanted to be like God Most High and he will offer anything to anyone who will bow down and worship him.

If you knew that Jesus Christ is returning soon, would you be different? Well, in my studies several years ago I came across scriptures in Revelations (
22:16-21) that seemed to me that Jesus Himself talked to me. At the time I felt there was more to it than just telling the churches that Jesus is coming soon. I think this blog is that something more.

Revelation 22:16-21 New American Standard Bible (NASB)

16 “I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things [a]for the churches. I am the root and the descendant of David, the bright morning star.”
17 The Spirit and the bride say, “Come.” And let the one who hears say, “Come.” And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who wishes take the water of life without cost.
18 I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues which are written in this book; 19 and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his part from the tree of life and [
b]from the holy city, which are written in this book.
20 He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming quickly.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.
21 The grace of the Lord Jesus be with [
c]all. Amen.

If it is true that Jesus Christ is returning soon then God's judgment will also be soon. Everyone both great and small and alive and dead will be judged by their deeds. The Bible describes this judgment as being like someone being stripped naked exposing their shame. God knows the truth about everyone, He even knows our thoughts and the condition of our hearts.

Do you like to be used?

Do you like it when someone tries to deceive you, to manipulate you, to use you? I don't like that one bit and I doubt that any of you like that either but there is someone who is doing just that to all of us all the time. Satan is doing that or at least trying his best to do it to all of us humans and we hardly ever recognize it.

Jesus told us about how bad deception would get in the end times.

Matthew 24:24 Common English Bible (CEB)
24 False christs and false prophets will appear, and they will offer great signs and wonders in order to deceive, if possible, even those whom God has chosen.

I've already mentioned how I have experienced Satan's power in things like my internet going down, all my e-mail accounts disabled, my cursor jumping around to various places or disappearing all together, some writings disappearing right before sending it or posting it, and many other things. In all of this, I have learned that I can always rely on God to fix the problem. The Lord sometimes will give me an idea to get around a problem but sometimes I just have to wait and the problem just goes away.

I have also experienced Satan's deception in my mind. I believe that this work that I do here is the Lord's work through me but there have been times where I thought that maybe this is not the One True Living God's work but maybe this is Satan's work instead. I have had thoughts like maybe the Bible is made up of fictional stories and none of it is true. I have had questions about something I am about to post, if the words might be misunderstood and some how will be used by Satan.
See the post "Satan and his work"

Satan worked very hard when Yeshua Jesus entered the world as a human. He tried to get Joseph to put Mary, the mother of Jesus, away because he, Joseph, was not the father. Right away after Jesus was born, Satan tried to get baby Jesus killed. He worked in the mind of Herod the king and in the minds of the king's subjects. He tried to deceive the magi to tell Herod where to find baby Jesus. Joseph and Mary with Jesus escaped to Egypt because of a warning to Joseph in a dream. After Herod died, Joseph was told, in a dream, to returned to Israel. Evidentially Satan was now working in the mind of Archelaus, the son of Herod, because Joseph became fearful of him and Joseph was warned in a dream to depart for the regions of Galilee. They resided in the city called Nazareth, where Jesus grew up. All of this was to fulfill prophecy.

Matthew 1:18-2:23 Common English Bible (CEB)

Birth of Jesus

18 This is how the birth of Jesus Christ took place. When Mary his mother was engaged to Joseph, before they were married, she became pregnant by the Holy Spirit. 19 Joseph her husband was a righteous man. Because he didn’t want to humiliate her, he decided to call off their engagement quietly. 20 As he was thinking about this, an angel from the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph son of David, don’t be afraid to take Mary as your wife, because the child she carries was conceived by the Holy Spirit. 21 She will give birth to a son, and you will call him Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.” 22 Now all of this took place so that what the Lord had spoken through the prophet would be fulfilled:
23 Look! A virgin will become pregnant and give birth to a son,
And they will call him, Emmanuel.[a]
(Emmanuel means “God with us.”)
24 When Joseph woke up, he did just as an angel from God commanded and took Mary as his wife. 25 But he didn’t have sexual relations with her until she gave birth to a son. Joseph called him Jesus.

Coming of the magi

After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in the territory of Judea during the rule of King Herod, magi came from the east to Jerusalem. They asked, “Where is the newborn king of the Jews? We’ve seen his star in the east, and we’ve come to honor him.”
When King Herod heard this, he was troubled, and everyone in Jerusalem was troubled with him. He gathered all the chief priests and the legal experts and asked them where the Christ was to be born. They said, “In Bethlehem of Judea, for this is what the prophet wrote:
You, Bethlehem, land of Judah,
by no means are you least among the rulers of Judah,
because from you will come one who governs,
who will shepherd my people Israel.[b]
Then Herod secretly called for the magi and found out from them the time when the star had first appeared. He sent them to Bethlehem, saying, “Go and search carefully for the child. When you’ve found him, report to me so that I too may go and honor him.” When they heard the king, they went; and look, the star they had seen in the east went ahead of them until it stood over the place where the child was. 10 When they saw the star, they were filled with joy. 11 They entered the house and saw the child with Mary his mother. Falling to their knees, they honored him. Then they opened their treasure chests and presented him with gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. 12 Because they were warned in a dream not to return to Herod, they went back to their own country by another route.

Escape to Egypt

13 When the magi had departed, an angel from the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and said, “Get up. Take the child and his mother and escape to Egypt. Stay there until I tell you, for Herod will soon search for the child in order to kill him.” 14 Joseph got up and, during the night, took the child and his mother to Egypt. 15 He stayed there until Herod died. This fulfilled what the Lord had spoken through the prophet: I have called my son out of Egypt.[c]

Murder of the Bethlehem children

16 When Herod knew the magi had fooled him, he grew very angry. He sent soldiers to kill all the children in Bethlehem and in all the surrounding territory who were two years old and younger, according to the time that he had learned from the magi. 17 This fulfilled the word spoken through Jeremiah the prophet:
18 A voice was heard in Ramah,
    weeping and much grieving.
        Rachel weeping for her children,
and she did not want to be comforted,
                because they were no more.[d]

Return from Egypt

19 After King Herod died, an angel from the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt. 20 “Get up,” the angel said, “and take the child and his mother and go to the land of Israel. Those who were trying to kill the child are dead.” 21 Joseph got up, took the child and his mother, and went to the land of Israel. 22 But when he heard that Archelaus ruled over Judea in place of his father Herod, Joseph was afraid to go there. Having been warned in a dream, he went to the area of Galilee. 23 He settled in a city called Nazareth so that what was spoken through the prophets might be fulfilled: He will be called a Nazarene.

The whole time Jesus was here on earth as a human, Satan tried in many different ways to keep Jesus from completing all that He was sent to do. If Satan had been successful, we would not have a savior, an unblemished, sinless human to take our place.

Jesus is fully human but He is fully God too. There had to be someone human (like us) but without sin (not like us) who was/is worthy to take our place. God can forgive but only another human can take our place in our punishment.

Today, Satan works to keep us from believing in the One True Living God, the creator of all things visible and invisible, and in Jesus Christ, the one He sent.

Fractal

Have you ever heard the word fractal before?

From the online Merriam-Webster dictionary:

Definition of fractal

  1. :  any of various extremely irregular curves or shapes for which any suitably chosen part is similar in shape to a given larger or smaller part when magnified or reduced to the same size

If you look at any of God's creations you will see fractals; trees, flowers, clouds, rivers, sea shores, mountains, seashells, snowflakes, hurricanes, etc. Fractals are images of dynamic systems and said to be pictures of chaos.

The first time I heard this word was when I read the book "The Shack". I just love this book. It has opened my mind to new understandings about Father God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. In the book, the character as the Holy Spirit was "Sarayu". Sarayu has a garden. One day, Mack, the main character, decides to go out to help Sarayu in her garden. On the way there, Mack pictures a garden perfectly manicured and ordered like an English garden. Here is what he sees:

"The Shack" by William P Young

""It was chaos in color. His eyes tried unsuccessfully to find some order in this blatant disregard for certainty. Dazzling sprays of flowers were blasted through patches of randomly planted vegetables and herbs, vegetation the likes of which Mack had never seen. It was confusing, stunning, and incredibly beautiful.
"From above it's a fractal," Sarayu said over her shoulder with an air of pleasure.
"A what?" asked Mack absentmindedly, his mind still trying to grapple with and control the pandemonium of sight and the movements of hues and shades. Every step he took changed whatever patterns he for an instant thought he had seen, and nothing was like it had been.""

I look at America's forefathers wanting a kind of country with a government for all people. A government that works for the good of all, no mater what their race, creed, religion, or color. I see this as a fractal, something that is infinitely beautiful in a chaotic way. But, we are tearing this apart. We want to fit everyone into the box we believe to be the perfect box. We want a perfect manicured English garden.

Have you ever had conversations with others not like yourself? There is just something about the experience that is rich and refreshing. Getting a glimpse into the cultures of others is so fascinating; their music, their food, their dance, their poetry, their thoughts, their religion. Why try to control everyone into one type when God does not?

Enemies become friends.

The last book I read to date was "Jacob DeShazer: Forgive Your Enemies" by Geoff Benge and Janet Benge.

Jacob DeShazer (1912 - 2008). I borrowed this book from my daughter and have returned it so am relying on memory and taking some things off the internet for details in this writing.

Jacob Deshazer enlisted in the United States Army Air Corp in 1940. On Sunday, December 7, 1941, while on KP duty, he heard the news that Japan bombed Pearl Harbor. He became so enraged that he shouted, "The Japs are going to have to pay for this!"

Following the bombing, DeShazer along with other members of the 17th Bomb Group volunteered for a secret mission to attack Japan. This special group of volunteers became know as "Doolittle's Raiders" after their famous commander Lieutenant Colonel Jimmy Doolittle. This mission had an almost zero chance of succeeding. Japan was too far from any air bases friendly to the United States, so they decided to load the aircraft carrier, the USS Hornet, with modified B-25 Mitchell bombers, sail close enough to Japan without getting noticed, and launch the bombers from the carrier. This had never been done before. Even if they were successful with the launch and in the bombing of targets in Japan, they could not land back on the USS Hornet. So they were to try and make it into a friendly part of China. The amount of fuel they carried, which was part of the modifications, made it so that every part of the plan had to work out perfectly for any chance of making it.

On the way to Japan, the fleet was discovered by the Japanese so they had to start the mission early which shortened their fuel supply more; they weren't as close to Japan as their carefully calculated plans said they should be. Their mission was successful but some of the planes ran out of fuel over enemy territory, there were some that did make it into friendly territory, DeShazer's plane was one that ran out of fuel in enemy territory. He and some other Doolittle Raiders became POWs (Prisoners Of War). He was moved from POW camp to POW camp both in Japan and China. Some were more brutal than others. In one of the camps, a Bible was given and shared between DeShazer and several other prisoners, which was a miracle in itself. The prisoners were in separate cells and I believe they agreed to keep the Bible for one week and then pass it to the next one. When Jacob had the Bible, he had a great hunger for what it had to say. I think it was at this one POW camp that Jacob repented, trusted the Lord, and said that if he survived, he would come back to Japan to share the gospel of Jesus Christ.

DeShazer's parents were devout Christians but he was an unbeliever They didn't know if there son was alive or dead during this time but they kept praying for him.

Jacob's change of heart made him more loving and compassionate towards his tormentors and this affected the hearts of some of the guards who in turn showed more compassion towards him. The guards who showed any compassion at all to prisoners risked their own lives as this was considered disobeying orders and they were often killed for doing so.

After 40 months as a POW, the war ended, August 20, 1945. When the war ended, it could have been a bad thing for Jacob DeShazer because prisoners were normally executed instead of set free. Some of the Doolittle Raiders were killed but he was not.

Jacob was in very bad health when he returned home. During the time he was recovering, his heart lead him to go into seminary and he learned some Japanese. He fulfilled his promise to God and returned to Japan as a missionary. It was through his work there that many lives were changed, even the life of Captain Mitsuo Fuchida, the commander who lead the attacks on Pearl Harbor. Fuchida became a Christian in 1950. He became an evangelist and also a good friend to DeShazer. They would at times both speak at the same function telling their stories, affecting the lives of many who listened to them.

There were more stories in this book of others who played a part in all that the Lord accomplished through this.

I came across this writing by Mitsuo Fuchida. There are always different perspectives in wars depending on which side you view it from. I am just quoting the part where he repents and Jesus enters his life.

http://www.biblebelievers.com/fuchida1.html

"DeShazer did just that. after some training
at Seattle Pacific College, he returned to Japan as a missionary. And his story, printed in pamphlet form, was something I could not explain.
Neither could I forget it. The peaceful motivation I had read about was exactly what I was seeking. Since the American had found it in the Bible, I decided to purchase one myself, despite my traditionally Buddhist heritage.
In the ensuing weeks, I read this book eagerly. I came to the climactic drama -- the Crucifixion. I read in Luke 23:34 the prayer of Jesus Christ at His death: "Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do." I was impressed that I was certainly one of those for whom He had prayed. The many men I had killed had been slaughtered in the name of patriotism, for I did not understand the love which Christ wishes to implant within every heart.
Right at that moment, I seemed to meet Jesus for the first time. I understood the meaning of His death as a substitute for my wickedness, and so in prayer, I requested Him to forgive my sins and change me from a bitter, disillusioned ex-pilot into a well-balanced Christian with purpose in living.
That date, April 14, 1950 -- became the second "day to remember" of my life. On that day, I became a new person. My complete view on life was changed by the intervention of the Christ I had always hated and ignored before. Soon other friends beyond my close family learned of my decision to be a follower of Christ, and they could hardly understand it."

Our elections are over.

😕😲😧

It is hard to put into words my feelings and thoughts right now; about the future of America and the world. I did not vote for Trump. I do not hate him but I don't know that I could say that I love him either. I will definitely pray for him, for me, and for our nation.

That word,"hate", I have heard it so many times lately. I have heard it come from the mouths of Christians. The very word Christian means you believe in Christ Jesus and profess His teachings which is love not hate; love God, love neighbor, and even love our enemy (I would like to tell you, hopefully in the next post, about a book I last read which tells how enemies during WWII became friends through the gospel of Christ).

I had a feeling that Trump would be nominated as our next president. I even made a comment on Facebook to a friend a while back that I thought that he probably would be elected. But, when all was done and he was elected, I was stunned, shocked. How did this happen? I do believe this is the work of Satan but the will of our Father God.

It seems to me that many Christians have become like the scribes and Pharisees during Jesus' time, believing they are righteous.

Romans 3:20-23New International Version (NIV)

20 Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God’s sight by the works of the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin.

Righteousness Through Faith

21 But now apart from the law the righteousness of God has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. 22 This righteousnessis given through faith in[a] Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

Matthew 15:8Common English Bible (CEB)

This people honors me with their lips, but their hearts are far away from me.

I wonder how America will be made great again, as Trump says he will do. Will it be like Germany during the reign of Hitler and the Nazis? Germany became a very powerful nation but it was done by deceit, bullying, threatening, and eliminating the dissenters and the unwanted.

I just watched 60 Minutes on TV, an interview with president elect Trump and his family. I have to say that after watching it, I am still uneasy about our future.

A large number of Christians believe that Trump is anointed by God to be like Cyrus in the Bible because of prophecy through someone believed to be a prophet of today, someone who is respected. I just don't know. I feel otherwise. If they are right, great. Even if my thoughts are correct and we are headed to be great like Germany, Christ Jesus' way of love and prayer will win out over evil and it will calm our fears.

If you haven't already done this, opening your heart to Yeshua Jesus, letting Him in, and receiving the Holy Spirit (the Living Water), I invite you to do so. All who do this become part of Christ. He is our head and we are members of His body. He will direct our actions. Love will rule over hate. Think about the fruits of the spirit.

Galatians 5:22-23King James Version (KJV)

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Matthew 5:43-48Common English Bible (CEB)

Law of love

43 “You have heard that it was said, You must love your neighbor[a] and hate your enemy. 44 But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who harass you 45 so that you will be acting as children of your Father who is in heaven. He makes the sun rise on both the evil and the good and sends rain on both the righteous and the unrighteous.46 If you love only those who love you, what reward do you have? Don’t even the tax collectors do the same? 47 And if you greet only your brothers and sisters, what more are you doing? Don’t even the Gentiles do the same? 48 Therefore, just as your heavenly Father is complete in showing love to everyone, so also you must be complete.

Let us pray for each other. I believe we are headed into difficult times, more so than what we already have.

More about the kingdom of God.

Yeshua Jesus is always telling us, teaching about the kingdom of God, that realm that is invisible to our human eyes. When Jesus was with us in a form we could see, it was to verify what was spoken by the prophets, to give us a seen glimpse into that unseen realm, God's kingdom.

Today, Jesus teaches us in the Spirit, the unseen again; as long as you have asked Him in. Jesus' teaching us about God's kingdom is what eternal life is (John 17:3).

This taking Jesus into you may be difficult to understand. Jesus tells us in various ways that this is the only way to be taught, to understand about that which we don't see. One way to to get a picture is when Jesus said, " take and eat, this is my body " when He broke bread and gave it to His disciples (Matthew 26:26). He wasn't saying literally to eat His body nor was He saying that the bread becomes His body. It was a picture of eating food, Why do we eat food? From SciWhys"Just as a power station requires gas or coal to power its turbines and generate energy, so we need fuel – in the form of food".

The Holy Spirit is water. Not literally water, again it's to help us understand what the Spirit does. We need both food and water. The water (blood) gets rid of the bad stuff and it breaks down the food and carries it throughout the body to make the body healthy and strong.

Now let me talk some about that bad stuff in our bodies. Also of the unseen realm are unclean spirits, demons, devils. In another post, I said that I don't know how someone becomes demon possessed but I thought of one scripture that gives us a picture of how that happens.

Matthew 12:43-45Common English Bible (CEB)

Unclean spirit seeking a home

43 “When an unclean spirit leaves a person, it wanders through dry places looking for a place to rest. But it doesn’t find any. 44  Then it says, ‘I’ll go back to the house I left.’ When it arrives, it finds the place vacant, cleaned up, and decorated. 45  Then it goes and brings with it seven other spirits more evil than itself. They go in and make their home there. That person is worse off at the end than at the beginning. This is the way it will be also for this evil generation.”

In this scripture, we see an unclean spirit leaving a person. I don't think that it is leaving willing, it was cast out. It goes looking for a new place to rest; it actively seeks out someone else to take up residence in. If it finds no other person, it goes back to the person it came from. If that person has not filled that cleaned out space with Jesus and the Holy Spirit, then the unclean spirit goes and brings back other evil spirits so, that person ends up worse than the way he was when the first demon was cast out.

Satan is worse than demons. Satan can affect our thoughts, if we don't have Jesus inside. Jesus was about to go through great suffering and He told His disciples what was about to happen.

Matthew 16:21-23Common English Bible (CEB)

First prediction of Jesus’ death and resurrection

21 From that time Jesus began to show his disciples that he had to go to Jerusalem and suffer many things from the elders, chief priests, and legal experts, and that he had to be killed and raised on the third day. 22 Then Peter took hold of Jesus and, scolding him, began to correct him: “God forbid, Lord! This won’t happen to you.” 23 But he turned to Peter and said, “Get behind me, Satan. You are a stone that could make me stumble, for you are not thinking God’s thoughts but human thoughts.”

Jesus' words were directed toward Peter, the one seen, but His words were for Satan, the one unseen.

Satan is powerful, but not as powerful as God and Jesus. I have personally experienced Satan's power. He has anticipated things I am about to do or say and will try to stop me. He has brought down my internet, killed all my email accounts, disabled Facebook, made whole writings disappear or made the cursor jump around to different areas of the writings I was working on so that when I looked up from keyboard to screen, I was typing in a totally different place. Satan and demons are working to keep us from believing in the One True Living God and in Jesus, our Savior, our Teacher, our Counsellor, our Messiah, our King, the Prince of Peace.

If you care to study "the Kingdom of God" for yourself, here are all the scriptures in the King James version of the Bible.

Yeshua Jesus' conversations with others were constantly about the kingdom of God, the unseen realm. God, angels, Satan, demons are all of the unseen realm. Jesus is of the unseen and the seen realm. He is the One who taught those who saw Him when He was here on earth, in a human body. He is the One who teaches each of us now if we have invited Him into us. We don't see Him now but His spirit is everywhere. He knows our thoughts. He judges perfectly because He knows all things, not like our earthly judges. He wants to help us, if we want His help; teaching us about the kingdom of God.

After Jesus arose from the dead, He appeared to people for 40 days. He was no longer in an earthly body. I think that His new body was to demonstrate, to show us, the new body we will receive some day. Because the kingdom of God is not something we can see right now, we can only have faith that it exists, it is here with us.

After Jesus arose from the dead, one of Jesus' disciples, Thomas, didn't get to see Him at first and he said that he would not believe unless he himself saw Him and touch His wounds. When Thomas finally saw Jesus and touched His wounds, he finally believed. Jesus told him that he believed because he saw but then He said, "Blessed are they who have not seen, and yet have believed" (John 20:29)

From my Kindle version of "Ultimate Bible Study Suite":
The Greek word translated "blessed" is makarios {mak-ar'-ee-os}
Definitions: a prolonged form of the poetical (meaning the same); supremely blest; by extension fortunate, well off: -blessed, happy (x-ier).
