Power -- Energy

In the Bible Jesus said a number of things that indicates that there is some kind of power or energy. This I believe is a God thing and it is difficult for us humans to wrap our heads around it.

In Mark 5:30 At once Jesus realized that power had gone out from him. He turned around in the crowd and asked, “Who touched my clothes?”

1 Corinthians 4:20 Lexham English Bible

20 For the kingdom of God is not with talk, but with power.

The Quakers believe that there is something of God in all of us.

Jesus said this: John 14:12 Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. ----- This verse has caused pretty great controversy. How can we humans do greater works than Jesus? I think that this comment is in reference to this God power that we can have. It is in no way saying that we can be greater than Jesus. We cannot replace Jesus. He is one of a kind. He took away the sins of the world. He was the unblemished lamb that was sacrificed for our sins.

I recently read the book Celestine Insights by James Redfield. In this book James has written about 10 insights. The characters and the stories in the book are fictional but the insights are based on the author’s experiences, his coincidences (the 1st insight). James has recently written two new insights. I have not read these yet.

All of us have experienced mysterious incidents, coincidences throughout our lives. Many times we do not think much about them other than that they were odd. These coincidences come in different forms. They could be in the form of people, or books, or sickness, or accidents… The 2nd insight is becoming aware that these coincidences are divine driven and that they have great meaning for us but we have to be cognizant of them. Sometimes it may be years latter that we understand a coincidence or that multiple coincidences are needed to build the full picture of understanding.

Many times throughout my life I have experienced coincidences. I am just starting to understand the 2nd insight and how my coincidences bear on my life. Here is something that I am starting to understand:

Think of yourself as a storage battery. We store God power. The amount of power that we can store is limitless. There are things that take power away and things that gives us power. We can give some of our power to other people or other living things or we can take or steal it from people or things. When we give power we receive back that power plus more from the divine; from God. When we take power, that is all we get. Our thoughts and our character can be giving power or taking power.

My thoughts are evolving as I write this.

1. There is something of God in all of us.

2. We can give or take energy. Maybe we are the only ones totally responsible for this energy exchange, other than God.

3. If we take energy, that is all we get.

4. If we give energy then God rewards us with more energy.

I want to expound on John 14:12. Jesus said that we could do greater works than He did if we believe in Him. I think He is saying that if we trust His words we can do these things.

Can you imagine what this means?

This is just some of the things Jesus did that has been recorded in the Bible.

1. He took our punishment for the sins we commit. Only He is able to do that. There needed to be a human without sin in order to take our punishment and that was Jesus.

2. He teaches us about the Father. Only He can do that. He is the only one who really knows the Father.

3. Know truth, is truth. Only He is and can do that. The Father knows all things and because the Father and Jesus are One, Jesus knows all things.

Here are some things that Jesus did that I think we would be able to do if we had enough God power:

1. Heal the sick.

2. Feed people when there is only a little to offer.

3. Give sight to the blind

4. Give hearing to the deaf.

5. Make whole the bodies that are broken or are out of place.

6. Bring back life to the dead.

7. Calm the seas.

8. Cast out demons.

9. Have compassion on those who need compassion.

I live on the Louisiana side of Houston Texas. That very powerful hurricane, Laura, just hit the Gulf Coast and Houston was in the cone of uncertainty. As the storm was approaching, I thought about Jesus calming the sea so I asked for prayers from people in the Celestine Prophecy Insight Chatting group. My thoughts were to dissipate the storm completely, like Jesus did so no one would get hurt. I don’t know how many people prayed but it did seem to affect the storm in kind of a weird way. It kept it from the Houston area all together; not one drop of rain and no wind. But I am not sure if our prayers helped or hurt those in its path over in Louisiana and parts of East Texas. It seemed like Laura became more like a powerful tornado that had a path of destruction of about 40 miles wide. The unsurvivable 20ft storm surge that was expected really didn’t happen, at least not of that magnitude. I know that before the hurricane hit, instead of the usual preparation to be able to evacuate, I became almost numb to it. It would have been extremely difficult for us to leave for a number of reasons so we decided to stay no matter what.

At the time I asked for prayers, I did not think about how Jesus calmed the sea so I searched to find out.

Mark 4:35-41 King James Version

35 And the same day, when the even was come, he saith unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side. 36 And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships. 37 And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full. 38 And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish? 39 And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. 40 And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith? 41 And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Normally I don’t like to use the King James version but I caught something very interesting with this version and this is the version that my Ultimate Bible Study Suite uses which gives me the original Greek or Hebrew words.

It was how Jesus treated the wind and sea as separate entities; He rebukes the wind but He tells the sea, “Peace, be still”. I looked up the original Greek words.

The Greek word for rebuke is ‘epitimao’ meaning to tax upon, i.e. censure or admonish; by implication forbid; - (straightly) charge, rebuke.

He tells the sea, “Peace, be still” – the Greek word for peace is ‘siopao’ meaning (silence, i.e. a hush; properly muteness, i.e. involuntary stillness, or inability to speak, to be dumb (but not deaf also; figurative to be calm (as quiet water); - dumb, (hold) peace.

The Greek word for be still is ‘phimoo’ from (a muzzle); to muzzle

Masaru Emoto has done extensive work with water. It is extremely interesting seeing his results. He subjected water to different words and feelings and recorded the way the water responded. When kind thoughts and words were injected at the water, the water responded in good ways but when not kind words and feelings were injected, the water reacted poorly and as though it became agitated. There have been people and groups who have prayed over water, have projected kind words and thoughts to water, or have played music that contained the Love frequency to water and found amazing things that happened to it. This is not just a haphazard thing, there is something there, a power that we are only beginning to understand. Remember, Jesus said that for those who believe Him they would be able to do greater works than He did.

Now I want to talk about vibrations and frequency. There is the Law of Vibration which states that everything in our universe vibrates. There is also a Law of Frequency which suggests that the more a person practices the correct and desired behavior, the higher the probability there is to use the desired behavior. Love has a frequency of 528hz. That frequency is said to vibrate at the heart of everything in the universe and is known as the “Miracle” frequency. It connects the heart, your spiritual essence, to Heaven and Earth.

Now about harmonic frequencies. In every frequency there are harmonic frequencies. Think about a wave action in water. It is vibrating at a certain frequency, the distance between the high points of the wave. If you were to push down the wave exactly at the peak, it sets up a harmonic wave pattern. It is now twice the frequency of the original wave but the amplitude has diminished. Think about music. When there is harmony the music sounds good but when someone is playing or singing off tune, not in harmony, it doesn't sound so good. Well, I think many of us are not in harmony with the Love frequency which is the reason for so much strife. When we start to align ourselves with the Love frequency, more in harmony, then I think that is when it is possible to do the greater works as Jesus said. This is possible singularly but it is much more powerful collectively.

Who Owns The Land

Do you have land? Do you own it? If you have a mortgage on the land then who owns it? Won't the lender take it away if you don't pay your mortgage payments? So is it really yours? Lets say that you have paid off your mortgage. Now who owns the land? You would think that you do right? What happens if you do not pay your property taxes? Won't the government come and seize the land? So, who owns the land?

Does anyone really own land on this planet Earth?

Here is something I got off of the HERB website. It is what Sitting Bull, Lakota warrior said in 1932

"Our land is more valuable than your money.  It will last forever.  It will not even perish by the flames of fire.  As long as the sun shines and the waters flow, this land will be here to give life to men and animals.  We cannot sell the lives of men and animals; therefore we cannot sell this land.  It was put here for us by the Great Spirit and we cannot sell it because it does not belong to us.  You can count your money and burn it within the nod of a buffalo's head, but only the great Spirit can count the grains of sand and the blades of grass of these plains.  As a present to you, we will give you anything we have that you can take with you, but the land, never."

The Native American Indians understood that land is not something you can own. It is put here by "The Great Spirit", God.

The Parable of the Tenant Farmers in the Vineyard

33 “Listen to another parable: There was a man—a master of a house—who planted a vineyard, and put a fence around it, and dug a winepress in it, and built a watchtower, and leased it to tenant farmers, and went on a journey. 34 And when the season of fruit drew near, he sent his slaves to the tenant farmers to collect his fruit. 35 And the tenant farmers seized his slaves, one of whom they beat, and one of whom they killed, and one of whom they stoned. 36 Again, he sent other slaves, more than the first ones, and they did the same thing to them. 37 So finally he sent his son to them, saying, ‘They will respect my son.’ 38 But when[a] the tenant farmers saw the son, they said among themselves, ‘This is the heir. Come, let us kill him and have his inheritance!’ 39 And they seized him and[b] threw him[c] out of the vineyard and killed him.[d] 40 Now when the master of the vineyard arrives, what will he do to those tenant farmers?” 41 They said to him, “He will destroy those evil men completely and lease the vineyard to other tenant farmers who will give him the fruits in their season.” 42 Jesus said to them, “Have you never read in the scriptures,

‘The stone which the builders rejected,
    this has become the cornerstone.[e]
This came about from the Lord,
and it is marvelous in our eyes’?[f]

43 For this reason, I tell you that the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and will be given to a people[g] who produce its fruits. 44 And the one who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces, and the one on whom it falls—it will crush him!” 45 And when[h] the chief priests and the Pharisees heard his parables, they knew that he was speaking about them,

Love

Have you ever tried to put a description or a meaning to this word 'LOVE'? Every time I think about this word, love, I have a hard time putting a concrete definition to it in my mind. How would you describe to someone what love is?

13 If I speak in the tongues[a] of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast,[b] but do not have love, I gain nothing.

The Greek word for love is 'agape' Definitions: love, i.e. affection or benevolence; specially (plural) a love-feast; - (feast of) charity ([-ably]), dear, love.

What is it about this word? There seems to be great power in the word but how,,,, why? Does the power come from just saying the word or thinking the word? It seems this word has something to do with God.

I remember a piece I did quite a while ago 'Living Water' that was about how positive and negative words said to water affected it. There have been different kinds of experiments using water and words as explained in that blog post. It was quite amazing to see the results.

I am reading the book 'Celestine Insights' by James Redfield right now. It is an astonishing book. I am about 80% through but it is quite amazing how the things talked about in the book pertains to what is happening in our world today and possibly what will happen in the future.

We've all experienced how certain things come into our lives as though they were predestined to be there at that very point in time. We don't often think about it in that way when it happens and I think it is because we are not attuned to it. If we were more cognizant of them I believe we would see great meaning in them (one of the insights in the book.) This book showing up in my life at this precise time when my desire is to understand 'love' is one of those predestined life experiences for me.

So, back to that powerful word 'LOVE'. The book talks about how everything vibrates at a certain frequency, everything. So I wondered if this word 'LOVE' has a frequency and was blown away by what I found out. The love frequency is 528 Hz. This frequency resonates at the heart of everything. It is the core frequency of our universe. The 528 Hz is known as the 'Miracle' tone. It is the frequency that is central to the "musical mathematical matrix of creation".  "It connects your heart, your spiritual essence, to the spiraling reality of heaven and earth."

The Lord's Prayer

The Lord's Prayer and the Call to Forgive — Unity Series

The Lord’s Prayer and the Call to Forgive

Opening Reflection

If you’ve spent time in a Protestant church, you’ve likely prayed the Lord’s Prayer—often aloud, often in unison, and often without the space to slow down and absorb its depth. Recently, I opened my Bible study tools and began examining the prayer in the original Greek. Looking at the Greek often reveals layers of meaning that English alone doesn’t fully capture.

This time, one part of the prayer stopped me. Verse 12. And then verses 14–15, which sharpen its meaning. These verses felt personal—direct, even.

The Prayer Itself

“Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be Your name.
Your kingdom come,
Your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one.”
(Matthew 6:9–13)

Jesus immediately adds:

“If you forgive others, your Father will forgive you. But if you do not forgive others, your Father will not forgive you.”
(Matthew 6:14–15)

These two verses are not optional footnotes. They are the interpretive key.

A Closer Look at Verse 12

“Forgive” — ἀφίημι (aphiēmi)

This word comes from apo, meaning “away from.” It carries the sense of:

  • releasing
  • sending away
  • letting go
  • dismissing a claim
  • yielding up something held against another

Forgiveness, in Jesus’ prayer, is not passive. It is an intentional act of release.

“Debts” — ὀφείλημα (opheilēma)

This word means:

  • something owed
  • a moral fault
  • an obligation
  • a burden carried because of wrongdoing

So Jesus teaches us to pray:

“Father, release us from what we owe— as we release others from what they owe us.”

Verses 14–15: The Clarifying Lens

“Trespasses / Offenses” — παράπτωμα (paraptōma)

This word means:

  • a slip
  • a deviation
  • an unintentional error
  • a willful transgression
  • a fall, fault, or offense

In other words, everything from accidental hurt to deliberate wrongdoing.

Jesus’ teaching is direct:

  • If we forgive others, God forgives us.
  • If we refuse, God withholds forgiveness.

This is not abstract theology. It is relational. It is covenantal. It is aimed at the heart.

A Personal Question

These verses make me ask:

  • Have I truly forgiven everyone?
  • Or have I reclassified certain wrongs as “not really needing forgiveness”?
  • Do I excuse my own hesitations while expecting God’s mercy without measure?

Verse 12 uses us. Verses 14–15 use you.

Jesus shifts from communal prayer to personal accountability.

Scripture repeatedly calls us to consider others above ourselves, yet I often struggle to know what that looks like in a way that honors God. Forgiveness is one of the clearest places to begin.

For further reflection: Considering Others

The Larger Context: Matthew 6

The Lord’s Prayer sits in the middle of Jesus’ teaching on:

  • giving in secret
  • praying sincerely
  • fasting without display
  • storing treasure in heaven
  • trusting God instead of worrying
  • seeking the Kingdom first

The prayer is not isolated. It is a Kingdom posture.

Closing Reflection

Forgiveness is not sentimental. It is not easy. It is not optional.

It is a deliberate act of releasing others—because God has released us.

The Lord’s Prayer invites us into a rhythm of:

  • remembering who God is
  • surrendering our will
  • trusting His provision
  • releasing debts
  • resisting temptation
  • resting in His deliverance

At the center of it all is forgiveness—received and given.

The Gospel Message of Christ Jesus

What is a Quaker?
What Do Quakers Believe?

I have watched these videos a number of times. When I think about Quakers and their beliefs I think that they are the true church of Christ. Quakers live a pretty simple beautiful life but they are not afraid to stand up against injustices like what is happening in America today. When I have read books based off of true historical things that happened, I would often find a Quaker somewhere in it who played a pretty significant part during that time period.

The gospel message of Yeshua, Jesus, the Christ, the Messiah, is a simple one but it is a profound one. Jesus, the Son of the Living God came to earth to take away the sins of the world. He took on himself the punishment for my sins, your sins, the world's sins. We owe Him our very existence. When Jesus lives in us, He Himself teaches us truths through the Spirit.

When man interprets scriptures, it puts a smoky film over truth. See and understand what the Nicolaitans and their teachings are. They and their teachings are what God hates (see the post 'God Hates The Deeds and the Doctrines' of the Nicolaitans'. That word 'Hates' is a big word for God to say. God loves us so much that He was willing to die for us but He hates injustice.

John 14:6 New American Bible (Revised Edition) (NABRE)
6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way and the truth[a] and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

The life that Jesus is referring to here is eternal life and Jesus even tells us what that is in John 17:3

John 17:3 New American Bible (Revised Edition) (NABRE)
3 (Jesus is speaking) [a]Now this is eternal life, that they should know you, the only true God, and the one whom you sent, Jesus Christ.

This knowledge of the only true God and of Jesus is a deep intimate knowledge like two people have of each other who are married. The Greek word translated 'know' is 'ginosko' meaning know absolutely.

God Is Still God.

We are living through some very stressful times right now with this pandemic. As I was thinking about this, I thought about God. God is still the all-powerful God. He doesn't change. He is God who we can call Father and someone who loves us, so much so that He sent His Son, Jesus, into this world to take our punishment for the sins we've committed. Think about that. What amazing love.

Think about what Jesus did when He was here on earth with us. He had compassion for all those He met.

Matthew 9:35-38 New American Bible (Revised Edition) (NABRE)

The Compassion of Jesus. 35 [a]Jesus went around to all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom, and curing every disease and illness. 36 At the sight of the crowds, his heart was moved with pity for them because they were troubled and abandoned,[b] like sheep without a shepherd. 37 [c]Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few; 38 so ask the master of the harvest to send out laborers for his harvest.”

For me right now, I pray that His will be done, that the laborers will go out, and I trust Him for whatever happens. I also pray for Him to open my eyes to my sin.

God will not keep helping us forever. If we wont change from our evil ways, some day He will act out against us. Maybe this pandemic is a sample?

Proverbs 6:16-19 New American Bible (Revised Edition) (NABRE)

What the Lord Rejects

16 There are six things the Lord hates,
    yes, seven[a] are an abomination to him;
17 [b]Haughty eyes, a lying tongue,
    hands that shed innocent blood,
18 A heart that plots wicked schemes,
feet that are quick to run to evil,
19 The false witness who utters lies,
and the one who sows discord among kindred.
