The Powerful Words, "chosen by god"

I woke up very early this morning thinking about this belief that Donald Trump is chosen by god and why they are extremely powerful words. It is an extremely powerful tool for a political party to use. They just have to say this person is chosen by god. It doesn't need to be proven, it can't. People just have to believe. The more who believe the better.

As I was thinking about it, it dawned on me why this is so powerful. It turns an ordinary man into a special man, "one who is chosen by god." It makes him into a god. People will believe what he says because "he is chosen by god." What happens to Yeshua Jesus? He is shoved out of the minds of the people and replaced by this god. They no longer remember Jesus's teachings. They only hear the words of this god.

Jesus said that if you love him then keep or obey His commandments.

John 14:15-21 Lexham English Bible (LEB)

Jesus Promises the Holy Spirit

15 “If you love me, you will keep my commandments. 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, in order that he may be with you forever[a] 17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world is not able to receive, because it does not see him or know him.[b] You know him, because he resides with you and will be in you.

18 “I will not leave you as orphans; I am coming to you. 19 Yet a little time and the world will see me no longer, but you will see me; because I live, you also will live. 20 On that day you will know that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you. 21 The one who has my commandments and keeps them—that one is the one who loves me. And the one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and will reveal myself to him.”

Matthew 22:36-40 Lexham English Bible (LEB)

36 “Teacher, which commandment is greatest in the law?” 37 And he said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’[a] 38 This is the greatest and first commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’[b] 40 On these two commandments depend all the law and the prophets.”

Feeling betrayed

I, as an American veteran, feel that we who have served and those who are serving in our military now are being let down by the rest of you. Many have died for you, for America.

Our constitution is based on an ideal that all men are created equal. Why do you put some groups of people on pedestals, treating them above everyone else? Why do you keep knocking down the poor or treating others who are not like you as trash? Why do you keep supporting the things that are destroying or planet? Why do you focus on the things that divide us instead of that which can brings us together? Why do you not help make America great, NOT GREAT AGAIN? Help make America a country that other countries want to be like. Do your part.

We all need to feel, to believe, that we are a part of the whole. That we work towards the greater good. America can’t be any farther from this ideal than how we are today. We are so divided. We can’t talk with each other without getting into arguments. Many of us are afraid to say anything at all anymore.

Here is another reason I feel betrayed. I feel that or president, Trump, is selling out America to Russia for personal wealth and power. To me there is more evidence pointing towards his guilt than innocence. If there is nothing going on between Trump and Putin then why does Trump keep talking with him? Why aren’t there other Americans present when they talk? Why isn’t Trump going after the Russians who have been working so hard to affect or democratic elections? This is America, our elections, not Russia’s or any other countries for that fact.  Why does Trump take the word of Putin and other dictators over the word of Americans? Why is Trump trying so hard to keep his financial information a secret?
