Living Awake: Lessons from Luke 12

Living Awake: Lessons from Luke 12 There are moments when Scripture doesn’t just speak — it gathers you, steadies you, and reminds you of what truly matters. Luke 12 is one of those chapters. When I revisited it after writing “ When Fear Stores What Faith Should Hold ,” I realized how much instruction, warning, comfort, and Kingdom perspective Yeshua packed into a single conversation. It is a chapter that calls us to live awake — spiritually honest, spiritually anchored, and spiritually ready. Scripture Luke 12 Reflection Luke 12 is a sweeping chapter — moving from warnings to encouragements, from parables to promises, from correction to comfort. Yeshua speaks plainly, directly, and lovingly. He exposes hypocrisy, confronts fear, dismantles greed, and calls His disciples into a life shaped by trust, readiness, and truth. As I read, I felt the weight of His words — not heavy in burden, but heavy in importance. These are teachings meant to shape the i...

Cheap Grace

Cheap Grace This morning, as I often do, I found myself thinking about something that has been stirring in my heart — and Dietrich Bonhoeffer came to mind. Remembering Bonhoeffer I first learned about Bonhoeffer back in 2016 through a book that, in hindsight, I believe the Spirit placed in my hands at just the right time. I wrote about that experience in my earlier post “ The Prophecies. ” As I revisited his Wikipedia page today, one of his books caught my attention again: The Cost of Discipleship . Reading the summary reminded me how deeply his message aligns with the concerns I’ve been carrying about the modern church. Cheap Grace vs. Costly Grace Cheap grace is forgiveness without repentance, baptism without discipline, communion without confession. It is grace without discipleship, grace without the cross, grace without Jesus Christ, living and incarnate. “Of course you’ve sinned, but everything is forgiven — so stay as you are an...

The Hidden Truth - Our Real Battle

The Hidden Truth — Our Real Battle Intro: There are moments in our walk with God when He pulls back the curtain just a little more, letting us see what has always been true but rarely understood. This reflection comes from one of those moments — a deeper look into the unseen battle Scripture tells us we are already part of, whether we recognize it or not. I recently wrote a post on Ephesians 6:10–20 about how our fight is not against other people, but against Satan and the demons. Since then, I’ve had many questions, and I’ve begun studying this more deeply. What I’m seeing already explains why we rarely hear sermons on this subject. It’s not because Scripture is silent. It’s because Satan does not want us to know the truth . If humanity understood what is really happening — and if we received the help God freely offers — Satan’s influence would collapse. Two Kingdoms, Two Ways of Working There is a vast difference between how Satan operates and how Father God oper...
