Nuclear war

I've been trying to figure something out. It appears to me that Satan is taking a big interest in our elections here in the United States. On Facebook, I see a lot of effort to get us to only see how the Democrats are taking away our money and our guns. This certainly is taking our minds off of nuclear war. Would Satan want us to go into a nuclear war and if so what would he have to gain by it?

Maybe this is his last ditch effort to keep us from believing in the One True God. Think about it. If it does happen, won't we think that there can't be a god because he didn't prevent it from happening?

I don't know if Satan has thought this through though, if this indeed is what his plans are. If the world were to go into an all out nuclear war, I doubt there will be anything left.

A scripture verse came to mind that I've often wondered what it could mean. Maybe it has something to do with this. Let me see if I can find it.

It is in Revelation chapter 3

Revelation 3:17-22 New American Standard Bible (NASB)

17 Because you say, “I am rich, and have become wealthy, and have need of nothing,” and you do not know that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked, 18 I advise you to buy from Me gold refined by fire so that you may become rich, and white garments so that you may clothe yourself, and that the shame of your nakedness will not be revealed; and eye salve to anoint your eyes so that you may see.19 Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline; therefore be zealous and repent. 20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me. 21 He who overcomes, I will grant to him to sit down with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne. 22 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.’”
